Muslim Americans in Public Service is thrilled to announce Mariam Ali as its incoming Communications Director.
Mariam Ali is a communications professional with nearly two decades of proven success in the development and implementation of public relations and media relations campaigns for organizations such as AAA, National Highway Traffic Administration (NHTSA), Florida Department of Transportation and the Seattle Department of Transportation, where she currently serves as the Deputy Press Secretary.
Mariam excels at generating effective and positive organizational exposure and enabling the success of dynamic media campaigns. She has spearheaded communications operations – including press and marketing materials while developing and implementing strategic plans to drive the organization’s messaging, event coverage and positive media results. Mariam has managed press relationships and pitching stories to enhance organizational exposure and generate public interest and attention. She has secured media placement in national, local and online publications including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, NPR, CBS Morning News and Miami Herald.
In addition to her communications and media relations experience, Mariam has knowledge in event management, public affairs and marketing public relations.
