MAPS Programs
Broadening pipelines into public service is critical to not only MAPS, but our mission as public servants. MAPS creates and promotes skill development, professional networking, mentorship, career education and advancement resources among members and within MAPS chapters to support our public servants and community representation.
In addition to connecting members nationally, MAPS aims to support internal communities of Muslim public servants where they reside at the state level, dedicated communities of practice within their professional field, as well as formal staff associations serving Muslim Americans in the government institutions where they work.
Government works best when all public servants feel welcome in the workplace. MAPS welcomes the review, dissemination and amplification of substantive initiatives and resources produced by members, allies, government officials, and all Americans who value an effective and inclusive government of and by the people.

MAPS Membership
MAPS Members are Muslim Americans who are current or former public servants while Associate Members are students or professionals from the broader Muslim American community interested in or adjacent to public service. Allies or organizational partners who are US citizens of all identities, backgrounds, and faiths (or no faith) who believe in a diverse, conducive, and inclusive public workforce that represents America itself, are encouraged to join our network as Affiliates.
Members are given access to MAPS Directors, specialists, mentors, advisors, exclusive programs and direct training and career services, partner organizations, specialized communities of practice, distribution lists, and Federal, State, and local government engagements, Muslim outreach functions, and building tours. Members also join exclusive chat groups allowing direct interaction with the MAPS network of public service professionals across the country.
Any person who supports our mission, and agrees to adhere to the values, policies, and objectives of MAPS, may engage the MAPS National network. Its free to join. MAPS charges no membership dues to reduce barriers to an active and thriving community. MAPS is unique among similar professional associations and national affinity and advocacy organizations in doing so. Membership in MAPS can only be terminated by unsubscribing from MAPS emails.
