Muslim Americans in Public Service thanks its members and guests for joining our third annual panel on Pathways to Public Service at Islamic Circle of North America’s (ICNA) annual Convention in Baltimore!

Hosted by MAPS National Vice Chair Natasha Shah Syed, our annual ICNA panel this year featured Mayor of College Park Fazlul Kabir, NYC City Hall Director Basem Hassan, US Senate staffer Yousof Omeish, and Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) Fellow Reja Younis.

Our panel represented a range of backgrounds, levels, branches and fields of public service, and our wonderful panelists touched upon many stories of securing better policy outcomes by engaging in service, as well as the realities and challenges that can present.
