MAPS New York hosts an Eid Spring Networking event featuring staffers and elected officials, vibrant discussions, professional networking, and celebration of our community of Muslim Americans in public service in New York.

MAPS New York hosted an Eid Spring Networking event. It was an evening of vibrant discussions, professional networking, and celebration of our community of Muslim Americans in public service in New York.

Hosted by the MAPS New York Board, including President Sara Rawshanara, Vice President Murat Akaydin, Hesham El-Meligy and Fahmeeda Saleem, the event featured insights from distinguished speakers, including City of New York OATH Commissioner and Chief Administrative Law Judge, Asim Rehman; Special Assistant to NYC Mayor’s Chief of Staff, Hasibe Rashid; Senior Examiner, New York State Department of Finance, Hesham El-Meligy, Senior Advisor in the Bureau of Cyberspace and Digital Policy, US Department of State, Maryum Saifee; Chair and Executive Director of the NYC Civic Engagement Commission Sarah Sayeed; and NYC Council Member representing Brooklyn’s District 39, and New York City's first Muslim Council Member, Shahana Hanif.
